The Gettysburg Battlefield Preservation Association will be presenting its second annual FALL FARM SKIRMISH on hallowed ground at the Historic Daniel Lady Farm, 1008 Hanover Street Gettysburg, PA on September 21-22, 2019.
In celebration of GBPA's 60th Anniversary in 2019, the Live Action and Living History program will include a reenactment of Antietam's "Bloody Lane" Battle as well as several other battles and a cavalry skirmish during the two-day program. More information will be posted to the GBPA website about the two-day battle reenactments and living history programs as they become available. The GBPA expects more than 500 Union and Confederate reenactors will be participating in the live action battle and skirmishes on over 15 acres of historic "hallowed" land held by the Confederates during Gettysburg's famous 3 day battle! There will be plenty of civilian reenactors on hand as well during the two days, and who knows, you may even run into the 16th President while you are there.
Tour the Barn turned hospital, where wounded soldiers retreated to from the battle of Culp’s Hill and left (their mark) still visible today. See the house of the Lady family that comforted their officers, but left the "stains" of devastation behind for them to contend with when they returned home after the battle.
Live Action Events, Living History Displays and Demonstrations, and a Food Tent both days. A one-day spectator's pass for adults 16 and up is $15 per person and a two-day pass is only $25 per person. As always Kids are Free! Just click on the Spectators Event tab above and complete the registration and payment forms. If you are a reenactor or in a reenactors' group, simply click on the Reenactors Event tab above and complete the registration form online or print the printable version to mail in and in either case mail your registration payment check to GBPA as instructed.
